Location
Cozumel Island is located off the southwestern coast of the
Yucatan Peninsula. Travelers can reach the island by plane
or ferry: Cozumel has an international airport servicing all
major airlines and charter companies and on the mainland the
port of Playa del Carmen offers regular ferry service to the
island.
Temperature
The average yearly temperature is 781 Fahrenheit (25.51 Celsius),
with a fluctuation of 5 to 7 degrees. In July, August and
September visitors enjoy spectacular Caribbean skies that
can change in minutes. From November to April, blue skies
and fresh northerly breezes make for perfect beach days.
Clothing
Visitors should always have their swimsuit and warm weather
clothing with them; cotton clothes and a good pair of sandals
are perfect.
