Register using discount code websf10emp21 to save 30% on our early registration prices. This discount offer ends February 8. Or register with discount code websf10ema1 to get a FREE Expo Hall Only pass.

Along with our Expo Hall floor, Web 2.0 Expo has a lot to offer those interested in the Web 2.0 world. Our programming features a wide array of great keynotes, track sessions, networking events, workshops, and new this year — Intensives. Our conference content will focus in part on our chosen theme for Web 2.0 Expo San Francisco 2010: The Power of Platforms.

    The Power of Platforms
Ten years ago, companies like AOL, Yahoo, Google, Amazon, Earthlink and eBay battled to define the ways we would use the web. The winners not only drew millions of customers, but they also spawned ecosystems that created huge opportunities for partners, vendors and competitors. Today, new wars with new players like Facebook, Twitter and Bing are emerging on the web — wars that create hard questions for businesses that must decide their own roles in our increasingly mobile, social, and real-time world. Web 2.0 Expo highlights the important debates, handicaps the key players, and helps you pick the winning platforms for growth in a web-fueled world.

    10 Conference and Focus Tracks
The conference agenda includes 4 main Conference tracks:

    • Strategy & Business Models
    • Social Media Marketing
    • Design & User Experience
    • Development

Our 6 Focus Tracks include Mobile, Community, Real-time, Analytics, Enterprise, and Cloud Computing.

    In-Depth Workshops
Before the conference starts, half-day workshops give you the chance to dive deep into the hottest topics for web professionals, from persuasive technology to data visualization and beyond.

    Intensives
The popularity of our Workshops and this past fall's Bootcamp programs at Web 2.0 Expo New York told us one thing: Attendees want in-depth, longer sessions on topics most important to their companies' success. Because of this, we're offering for the first time One Day Intensives. These "mini-conferences" feature expert speaker panels and a more participatory classroom experience. Our Intensives for Web 2.0 Expo San Francisco 2010 are:

Lean Startup (with Eric Ries of StartupLessonsLearned.com)
In a startup, what activities are value-creating and which are waste? Usually, new projects are measured and held accountable to milestones and deadlines. When a project is on track, on time, and on budget, our intuition is that it is being well managed. This intuition is dead wrong. Go to this Intensive to find out how to curb this poor intuition and increase your gains.

Applied Communilytics (with Sean Power and Alistair Croll of WatchingWebsites.com)
Effective social media comes from having the guts to try unique, memorable campaigns, the discipline to measure their successes and failures, and the wisdom to learn from the results. That's what applied community analytics is about, and it's what you'll learn in this Intensive.

    A Lively Expo
Meet face-to-face with leading companies — like Adobe, IBM, Neustar, Microsoft, blueKiwi, Open Text, and many more new to Web 2.0 Expo — in a 30,000 square foot tradeshow to demo the latest solutions to help you streamline your business and make smarter choices.

    Hotel & Travel
Web 2.0 Expo has negotiated special rates at several hotels for attendees that plan to spend the night. We recommend you make your hotel reservations for Web 2.0 Expo San Francisco as soon as possible.

We look forward to seeing you in May!
